Bizarre incident in Ingersoll leads to police investigation

A bizarre incident in Ingersoll has lead to a police investigation.

Police say just before 9 o’clock Saturday night they responded to a report of a small grass fire on King Street East.

They say their investigation has determined that a male suspect was seen setting a grassy area on fire near a parking lot at King Street East and Water Street with the suspect then staying at the scene and playing what may have been a recorder.

According to police, he then tried to set the grass on fire a second time before fleeing the area.

They say he had a small white dog with him at the time and a woman was seen in the area at the time as well who they say may have been with the suspect.

The Ingersoll Fire Service made sure the fire was put out.

The suspect is described as :

Male, approximately 30-years-of age.

Approximately 5 foot 8 inches.

Thin build.

Short dark hair.

Dark t-shirt, long style, blue and white plaid shorts.
