Work is well underway on the new lawn bowling green at the Municipal Golf Course in Stratford.
The 120-foot by 120-foot playing surface, which should be able to accommodate eight lanes, has recently been seeded with a specialty grass suitable for lawn bowling, called bentgrass. That grass will soon begin to grow, and the aim is to have the lawn bowling green ready for the Stratford Lawn Bowling Club to begin playing on it by next spring
