We are just a few days away from the opening of the new fire station in Milverton.
This Saturday marks the date of the opening which the Perth East Fire Department is also calling the start of a new era.
Perth East Fire Chief Bill Hunter says in a press release that “the fire station has been a significant project the past four years” with “every detail meticulously reviewed and every budgeted dollar maximized.”
Built by Domm Construction, the new station replaces the former site on Mill Street West and is an environmentally-conscious facility.
The grand opening is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the opening ceremony starting at 10 a.m.
