HAPPENING NOW: Stratford and area under Freezing Rain Warning

Freezing rain likely Monday evening.

Some light snow or ice pellets will affect the area late Monday morning into the afternoon, but any accumulations should be limited to a few centimetres at most. There is also the risk of freezing rain. Locally slippery conditions are possible.

A more significant area of precipitation is expected to move into the area early Monday evening.

A few hours of freezing rain are possible before precipitation changes to rain later in the evening.

At this point, freezing rain amounts are expected to be fairly light.

However, untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery.

Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
