Kitchener resident charged in connection to collision outside Stratford that left two children dead

A Kitchener resident has been charged in relation to a two-vehicle collision near Stratford that claimed the lives of two children last summer.

Perth County OPP announced on Monday that 39-year-old Mi-Kyung Park-Nadon from Kitchener has been charged with failure to yield to traffic on through highway in the collision that happened on August 28th.

Police say an SUV and a minivan collided around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Perth Line 26 and Perth Road 122.

They say their investigation has revealed that the minivan was traveling north on Perth Road 122 while the SUV was traveling west on Perth Line 26 when the crash happened.

Perth Road 122 is governed by stop signs.

A 10-year-old and a two-year-old were both killed in the collision while five others, including other children, were injured.
