Flooding leads to closure of the South Lobby Main Entrance at the Stratford General Hospital

A head’s up if you’re heading to the Stratford General Hospital.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says the South Lobby Main Entrance will be closed at 8 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to stay closed for around the next four weeks after flooding.

Officials say the flood was caused by a burst sprinkler line with the impacted entrance also called the Courtyard Entrance which is located off West Gore Street and accessible from Parking Lot E.

Patients attending appointments in the East Building, such as Imaging, Surgical Services or Breastfeeding Clinics should use the North Lobby Main Entrance, off Cambria St.

Family and visitors should also use that entrance when visiting a patient on any of our patient care units.

Parking is available in Lot A.

Patients scheduled for the following outpatient appointments between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, should use the West Building Entrance, off West Gore St., as per usual.

Quick drop off is available under the canopy and parking is available in Lot E.
