Police: Three people charged following shoplifting incident in North Perth

Police say three people face charges after a shoplifting incident at a North Perth business.

Perth County OPP say they got a report of a theft at a business around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon and witnesses provided officers with a description of an SUV leaving the scene.

Police say the SUV was located a short distance away and one man and two women were arrested.

The man, a 35-year-old from Brockton, was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5 thousand and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Police say he has outstanding warrants with Saugeen Shores Police and he was transported to Port Elgin.

The two women, a 47-year-old from Brockton and a 29-year-old from Arran-Elderslie, were both charged with theft.

All three are scheduled to appear in court in Stratford on June Third.
