Pregnant women and young families in Perth County are getting a nutrition boost.
The Perth District Health Unit says they recently received a $1-thousand donation from the Festival Jubilee Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire.
The PDHU says the money is being used to purchase milk coupons that local families can use to purchase bagged milk.
Heather Kane, a Public Health Nurse with the PDHU, says the donation helps provide “greater access to nutritious food, eases financial challenges for families, and supports healthy growth and development in children.”
