Police reminding drivers to pack their patience with school buses back on the road

September has arrived and with it the return of school buses on the road.
Tuesday is the first day back in class for many students in our area and police are reminding you to keep safety your top priority with buses picking up and dropping off passengers.
Police are also reminding you to keep a close watch out for students, especially younger ones, who are out and about and may not be paying attention to what’s happening around them.
Perth County OPP Constable Barry Cookson says it’s all about adjusting your driving habits.
“People are used to the summertime traffic when it may be moving a little bit quicker but we want drivers to be aware that they should expect some delays as school buses will be out on the road picking up children for school.”
More police are also expected to be out during the first day of school.
