Police investigating after they say two children were approached by suspicious man in West Perth

Police are investigating after they say two children were approached by a suspicious man in West Perth.

Around 8:45 Monday morning, Perth County OPP say they got a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Line 32 near Fullarton.

They say the two children were waiting for their school bus at the end of their driveway when a man in a pickup truck drove by them slowly.

At some point, police say the truck made a U-turn and approached the children with the truck coming to a stop in front of them with the driver’s window down.

The man’s arm was hanging out the window and the children were called back to the house by a parent who saw the man drive up.

The vehicle is described as an older model pickup, burgundy in colour, with extensive rust holes in the rear wheel wells. No licence plate obtained.

The male driver is described as being older and heavy set with a shaved head and a white beard.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
