Two people have been charged in connection to counterfeit money being passed in Listowel.

On Sunday, police say they got reports about suspected counterfeit American $100 bills being passed at two restaurants.

Police say both incidents happened on Saturday and officers seized the bills from the restaurants and used surveillance footage to identify the suspects.

A 40-year-old North Perth resident and a youth who can’t be identified have both been charged with Uttering Counterfeit Money.
