Police: Stratford man charged after threatening staff at Stratford General Hospital

A 31-year-old Stratford resident faces charges after police say they threatened staff at Stratford General Hospital.

Just before 6:30 Saturday evening, Stratford Police say they were contacted by staff at the SGH Emergency Department about a patient who had uttered threats to the nursing staff.

SPS says officers came to the hospital, arrested the individual, and removed him from the hospital.

They say the individual had become aggressive when he was directed to leave, after being cleared medically, and stated that he was going to kill members of the nursing staff.

The suspect was transported to Stratford Police Headquarters and charged with Uttering Threats and Breach of Probation.

He was later released from custody on an Undertaking with a court date of October 5th.
