McInnes (nee Reid), Joan

Joan Elizabeth McInnes, age 69, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Wildwood Care Centre, St. Marys on July 29, 2020. Born in Stratford, September 28, 1950, daughter of the late James and Vera (Goodwin) Reid.

Beloved wife for 51 years of John McInnes. Loving mother of Shelley Chenier (Dan) and Brian McInnes. Grandmother of Sierra and Cameron. Sister of Barb Reid. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by brothers Gary, Bob and Jim Reid and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert McInnes (Marlene), Stewart McInnes (Cecilia) and Graham McInnes (Nancy).

Joan worked as a waitress at Pizza Hut in Stratford for over 20 years. Joan and John loved spending time walking the beaches of Ontario with their dog Daisy.

Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, on Monday, August 3, from 7-9 p.m. (Masks and social distancing required while on funeral home property). A family service will he held Tuesday with interment at Avondale Cemetery.
