Police investigating after copper wire stolen from Milverton business

Businesses are being reminded to report any suspicious activity immediately and to consider installing security features.

It comes after Perth County OPP say approximately $12-thousand worth of copper wire was stolen from a commercial business on Mill Street West in Milverton.

Police say it happened sometime between July 22nd and July 23rd when unknown suspects broke into an outbuilding after gaining entry by cutting a hole in the metal exterior wall.

They say it’s not the first time that this business has experienced a break and enter.

Numerous times over the last few years, suspects have broken into the building in a similar way.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
