A 28-year-old North Perth faces an assault charge after an incident in Listowel.
Perth County OPP says they were called out to a walking trail between Queen Street East and Elizabeth Street East just after 10:30 at night on July 27th.
They say the accused had confronted a group of youths that were walking on the path, and threw a glass bottle on the ground in front of them, causing a piece of glass to strike the victim.
The victim went to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police say the victim and the accused were not known to each other.
Police located the suspect nearby, where they were arrested for assault with a weapon.
The accused has a future court appearance scheduled in Stratford.
