Spivey, Aldeen

Aldeen Spivey, 86, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Sunday, September 7, 2014.

Beloved wife of James Spivey and the late Walter Diegel. Dear mother of Linda Nieuwkuyk, Susan Thibideau and Michael, Dennis Diegel and Linda, Cynthia Baechler and Richard and Cheryl May. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Mildred Ritz and Esther Butson. Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy, Norma and Renata Rose, Norma Diegel, Norma Rolph and Wilfred  Spivey and Georgina. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Carl and Edith Rose, son-in-law Harry Nieuwkuyk, great granddaughter Jenna-Marie Van Horn, brothers William, Carl, Glen, Gordon and Martin Rose, sisters Lavina Rudolph, Ella Rose, and Eileen Trentowsky, brothers-in-law Gustav Trentowsky, Wilfred Rudolph, Gerald Butson, John Ritz, Roy “Oscar” Diegel, Russell Diegel, Don Rolph and John Spivey, sisters-in-law Irene and Marjorie Rose, Donna Diegel, Shirley Rolph and Margaret Spivey.

Visitation at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Lutheran Church (Logan) on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in First Lutheran Cemetery.
