With heavy hearts the family of Laura Alene (Skinner) Lewis are sad to announce the passing of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Laura Lewis age 80 passed away peacefully on Saturday September 13, 2014 at Hillside Manor, Sebringville. Daughter of the late Russell & Isabella (Cruickshank) Skinner. Laura was very active in the community for many years; she was a waitress for many years with The Victorian Inn then later at the Festival Motor Inn. Laura was a proud member of Knox Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed music her entire life and also enjoyed her time with the Lakeside Seniors Line Dancing Group. Loving mother of Linda (Jim) Hodgson, Larry Lewis, Nancy (Rick) Scott and Sharon Lewis. Grandmother to Tim (Leanne) Hodgson, Matt (Melissa) Hodgson, Jonathan Scott, Melanie Lewis and Jessica Lewis. Great-grandmother to Taylor, Ashley, Justin, Blake, Benson, Keagan and Quinton. Laura is survived by her siblings; Thelma (Harold) Gelinas, Jack (Gladys) Skinner, Norm Skinner, Vernon (Marjorie) Skinner, Bob (Marge) Skinner and Bruce (Judie) Skinner. Besides Laura’s parents she was predeceased by her special son-in-law Jim Siegner, her brother Harold and his wife Florence Skinner, sister Marlene Coughlan, brother-in-law Danny Coughlan, sister-in-law Theresa Skinner and brother-in-law Courtney Channon.  The Family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hillside Manor for the wonderful care and compassion given to their mother.
