The COVID-19 outbreak at St.Marys Memorial Hospital has been declared over.
Officials with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance said on Wednesday morning that the outbreak, first declared in the hospital’s Inpatient Unit on February 2nd, has been declared over by Huron Perth Public Health.
The outbreak was declared after five COVID-19 cases were identified and, in total, three patients acquired the virus while in hospital along with four staff.
With no further cases, the Inpatient Unit has been reopened to admissions and transfers and family and caregiver’s are now allowed to visit again.
