OPP joining national campaign to fight bad driving

There have been 216 deaths on OPP patrolled roads so far this year, and “The Big Four” have caused 168 of them.

“The Big Four” being impaired or distracted driving, speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.

To help fight this issue, the OPP, including here in Perth County, are joining Operation Impact.

It’s a national road safety campaign endorsed by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.

The OPP is asking people to be safe both behind the wheel and when they’re passengers by speaking up when a driver does one of The Big Four.
