Voisin, Margaret

Margaret “Peg” Voisin, age 66, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the St. Marys Hospital, Kitchener, surrounded by her family on Thursday December 26, 2013 at the age of 66 years.

Born in Stratford on May 29, 1947, daughter of the late Jack and Donna (Swift) Slater. Peg was an employee of Fram for over 40 years before her retirement.

Beloved wife of 41 years to Basil Voisin whom she married on October 7, 1972. Loving mother of Tracey Boyd (Jamie) of Tavistock and Michael Voisin of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Shelby and Tye Boyd. Dear sister of Patricia Stewart (Brian Somerville) of Hensall. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; John and Cathy Voisin, Thorndale, Janice and Lorne Ellah, Bayfield, Patricia and Paul Wintermeyer, Elmira, Sharon and Paul Fassbind, Windsor, William and Janice Voisin, St. Marys, Jim and Zita Voisin, Stratford, Kim and Don Bailey, St. Marys and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her parents, Peg was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law Mary and Bert Voisin, brothers-in-law Patrick Voisin and Donald Keiswetter and several aunts and uncles.

We would like to thank all of the Doctors and Nurses at the Stratford General Hospital and St. Marys Hospital, Kitchener for their care and support.

Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Monday December 30th from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday December 31st at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Rev. Fr. Dick Bester will officiate.
