Police: Male injured after assault in Stratford

Stratford Police are searching for suspects after they say a male victim was assaulted in the city.

Police say it happened between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Forman Avenue and Cawston Street.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

SPS tells MyStratfordNow.com it’s believed the suspects and the victim are known to one another and there is no threat to the general public.

It’s believed that a vehicle, described as a white minivan or smaller-sized delivery van, which was seen leaving the area at high speed, could be involved.

People in the Cawston Street, Forman Avenue, Franklin Drive, and Buckingham Drive areas who have surveillance footage are being asked to check it for any signs of the suspects.

If you have any information on what happened you’re asked to call SPS or Crime Stoppers.
