Stratford News Ontario shivers in freezing cold weather SHARE ON: Patrick Grapes, staff Thursday, Jan. 2nd, 2014 Severe wind chills are expected throughout Ontario today. Environment Canada says a low pressure system near the Lower Great Lakes continues to generate moderate northeasterly winds. Temperatures have dropped thanks to a bitterly cold arctic air sweeping through southern and eastern Ontario. With the wind chill, it will feel more like minus 27 to minus 40 degrees today and into tomorrow. Wind chill warnings have already been issued in several cities and towns.
