Our local MPP is taking on a new role provincially.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has been appointed to the role of Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
First elected on June 2nd 2022, Rae has served as one of the two Parliamentary Assistants to the Minister of Education.
As for his new position, Rae says “as a first-time homeowner and one of the youngest members of the Government Caucus, I know first-hand the pressing need to build more homes.”
Parliamentary Assistants principally assist their respective ministers in their legislative duties but may also assist in extra-parliamentary activities such as helping to form policies.
