John Paradis is leaving the post as the city’s fire chief.
Paradis attended his last Stratford City Council meeting earlier this week where he took the opportunity to thank his staff, city council, Mayor Martin Ritsma and former Mayor Dan Mathieson.
In return, he was thanked for his dedicated service to the community.
Paradis has been with the city for more than eight years.
He has accepted a position with the City of London as deputy city manager, enterprise supports.
