House of Blessing reflects on highlights of 2025

2025 showcased what’s possible when a community shows up for one another.

Stratford House of Blessing food bank officials offered thanks while reflecting on the past year.

The organization said community need is still growing with 1,655 people accessing the food bank each month on average.

Community generosity, thankfully, has kept pace with the need.

This included collecting 18,995 pounds of food from three food drives, over $45,000 from the Hog Jog event, $29,155 from Ride For a Refuge, and more than $44,000 from Empty Bowls.

House of Blessing gave away new backpacks and school supplies to 391 children, as well as Christmas gifts to 1,216 children.

They said the team looks forward to more accomplishments in the new year.
