Applications open for 2026 Summer Company program

Students could learn how to start their own business this summer.

Stratford Perth Centre for Business has opened applications for the 2026 Summer Company program, which looks to provide students ages 15 to 29 with experience, guidance, and support to help them start a summer business.

investStratford CEO Joani Gerber said the program gives participants the structure, mentorship, and confidence needed to test their ideas and discover their potential as entrepreneurs.

The centre said eight students will be selected and receive one-on-one mentorship, hands-on training, and $3,000 in grant funding.

Half of the money will help students bring their ideas to life, the other half will be provided after finishing the program.

Applications are accepted until May 15.
