Twin pirate siblings must work out their issues in a swashbuckling comedy act.
Sibling Rivalry is an outdoor show running at Upper Queens Park Jan. 24 as part of Stratford Winterfest.
It follows Percival McBarnacle, a fancy pirate with a degree and his twin sister Calico Kat, an illiterate but fierce pirate, as they meet again after time apart.
Scott Emerson Moyle, who plays Percival, says the show includes big set piece stage combat moments, comedy, audience interactions and a sing-along.
Moyle says the challenge is figuring out how to not overheat.
“We’ve had to figure out how we stay warm without getting so warm during the sword fighting bits that things start to get uncomfortable.”
Moyle says they’re preparing for the cold by using heated gloves and socks, and a lot of outdoor practice at the park.
The show starts at noon.
