MPP Rae announces over $2 million in funding for local hospitals

Local and rural hospitals across Perth-Wellington are getting a $2 million financial boost, with Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance receiving $1.3 million and Listowel Memorial Hospital receiving $683,600.

In his announcement on Friday, Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae said the funds will help reduce wait times and ensure patients continue receiving high-quality care close to home.

Andrew Williams, President & CEO of Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, said funding will enable the HPHA team to improve access to care by reducing wait times for essential surgeries and CT scans, helping ensure patients receive the care they need, when they
need it most.

The funding is part of a larger investment across the province to support 324,000 additional CT hours across 86 hospitals in Ontario.
