Rubber Duck Race returns to Mitchell

Mitchell Kin Club are hosting their annual rubber duck race that will support a nation-wide organization.

Proceeds go towards Cystic Fibrosis Canada, a provider of support to Canadians affected by the fatal genetic disease that mainly targets the digestive system and lungs.

Cystic Fibrosis Canada said complications from the disease include wheezing, progressive lung damage, sinus infections, abdominal pain, and malnutrition.

Kin staff said for each ticket sold, a rubber duck is added to the race on May 2 at Stacey Brothers Park.

Rubber ducks will be launched from the bridge on Highway 8. The winner gets $750.

The event includes food, drinks, and kids activities.

Tickets are $5 per duck, and you can contact the club directly to buy them.

The ducks drop at 11 a.m.
