Big boost for Stratford and Listowel festivals and events

Six tourism operators in Stratford and Listowel are receiving $365,000 in total from the province.

Stratford Festival are getting $125,000 while Stratford Tourism Alliance, Here For Now Theatre, Stratford Summer Music and Hayloft Music Festival in Listowel are each receiving $55,000.

SpringWorks’s International Puppet Festival will get $20,000.

The investment announced on Wednesday by Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae will “help operators expand programs, bring more visitors and boost rural economies.”

The funding is part of the province’s near $20 million investment, which it says will help local municipalities and organizers deliver high-quality programming and experiences for all ages.
