Stratfordians can learn from Indigenous elders and knowledge sharers at a new tipi.
Stratford Perth Museum is hosting an open house showcasing the 38-foot tall structure at the heritage trails on Saturday.
The tipi was constructed by a team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous volunteers last week.
Knowledge Carrier from Aamjiwnaang First Nation Christin Dennis told MyStratfordNow there will be guests at the event.
“We actually have a venue with Patsy Day and she’s one of our elders, as well as myself and Scott Tillson. I’m going to accompany him, playing the Native American flute.”
The event is free to attend.
It’s scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
