Marian deWever and June Leitch are co-chairs for the 2026-27 United Way Perth-Huron fundraising campaign.
Officials describe deWever as a ‘lifelong advocate for building strong communities through relationships, service and local engagement.’
She has served as chair of United Way’s Stratford and Area Community Committee, director of Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce and the Huron Perth Association of Realtors, and as board member with the Zonta Club of Stratford.
deWever also received the business leader award from the Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce in recognition of outstanding leadership, community engagement and commitment to social responsibility.
Officials say Leitch has a 16-year affiliation with the local United Way, and has served on the board of Community Living Stratford and Area for five years.
CEO Ryan Erb said both women are respected for the work they do locally. He added having regional co-chairs helps strengthen the organization’s focus on addressing the issues that matter most to communities in Perth and Huron.
deWever said she believes with success comes responsibility.
Leitch said everyone deserves a home and is looking forward to work towards that goal.
