United Way Perth-Huron’s (UWPH) annual fundraising campaigns are beginning in earnest.
A community lunch will be held on Friday at Market Square, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
CEO Ryan Erb said the kickoff gives them the chance to celebrate the community and build momentum for the work ahead.
“We will have lots of special announcements including the campaign goal, which is always an important thing for the community to know and understand, but we’re also going to be talking this year about some special housing projects,” Erb told MyStratfordNow.
Officials say the campaign raises money to help vulnerable people get access to the services and programs they need.
In the 2025-26 campaign, $2.56 million was raised.
New co-chairs in Marian deWever and June Leitch have said it’s wonderful to be involved with the campaign.
The campaign goal will also be announced at the St. Marys kickoff Saturday at the farmers market from 8 a.m. to noon.
For Huron County, the launch is scheduled for Grand Bend Stirling Sands Vineyards on Saturday at 4 p.m.
North Perth is underway. A kickoff event was held in Listowel last week.
Tickets can be bought at the campaign kickoff page of United Way Perth-Huron’s website.
