Let’s make a plan: City asking residents for feedback on recreation and leisure

The City of Stratford is putting together a new recreation and leisure master plan, and they want your feedback.

In a media release, city officials said the plan would be used to support decision making, ensure municipal services continue to meet the changing needs of the community and to set priorities and recommendations to improve recreation and leisure.

They said the project will include a review of current programs, facilities, parks, service levels, budgets and partnerships within the Festival City.

City staff will collect the public’s input through a series of different events to shape the final version of the plan. These include community pop-up booths at the Farmers Market and the Active Living Fair and Open House on Saturday, a pop-up at the Stratford Fall Fair on Sept. 25, a Your City, Your Future event on Oct. 1, and two focus group workshops scheduled for Oct. 14 and 20.
