Transform ideas into a thriving small business

It’s a program designed to help artists, creators, and culture-based entrepreneurs across Perth County transform ideas into thriving small businesses.

Stratford Perth Centre for Business are accepting applications for its Starter Company Plus – Arts & Culture Program, beginning January 12.

This program accepts applications from visual and performing arts, design, carpentry, food creation, tourism, and other culture-driven ventures.

Successful participants will receive comprehensive business training, one-on-one coaching, and are eligible for a $5,000 grant to support business growth.

Applications are open until noon Nov. 20 and early application is encouraged.

Participants accepted into the program are required to attend five training sessions on Mondays from 7-9 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 25; Feb. 8 and 22, and March 8.

Holly Mortimer, Business Advisor at the Stratford Perth Centre for Business, said the arts and culture program gives local creatives the tools to build a sustainable business doing what they love.

“And they don’t do it alone. The support they give each other is what makes this program work.”
