A tentative deal has been reached by Unifor and GM over the nearly month-long strike of workers at the automaker’s Ingersoll CAMI assembly plant.
The deal was reached on Friday evening and a ratification vote is set for this morning.
The union says job security was a major issue in the talks, with more details expected to be released today once the worker’s votes are tallied.
General Motors had plans to move a portion of the CAMI plant’s manufacturing quota to Mexico, sparking the strike on September 17th.
