Our local Royal Canadian Legion is launching its annual Poppy Campaign Friday as part of Remembrance Day.
From the Legion Ken Albert says the campaign does well in Stratford thanks to an active community, bringing in around $25,000 to $30,000 a year.
Albert says since the Patrick Street location has closed its doors, the march to Stratford’s Cenotaph will start at the Armory on Waterloo Street.
The Legion is expected to sign a deal soon for its new location.
