A familiar face at the Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce will be missing for a while.
With the upcoming municipal election in October, General Manager Brad Beatty says he is taking a leave of absence as he runs to regain his seat on city council.
Beatty says he will be gone until November First in order to provide transparency for the chamber operations.
The leave was approved by the chamber’s board.
While he is away, Beatty says the chamber’s regular staff will remain in place and they will be assisted by Michelle Webber.
