Stratford Festival’s Executive Director Named One Of Canada’s Most Powerful Women

It’s a top honor for the Executive Director of the Stratford Festival.

Anita Gaffney is being honored by the Women’s Executive Network and has been named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women after she was selected to receive the Top 100 Award in the BMO Arts, Sports, and Entertainment category

The WXN’s Top 100 Awards pay tribute to outstanding women across Canada who have advocated for diversity in the workforce, and who serve as an inspiration for the next generation of leaders with the awards recognizing different categories including the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

Gaffney says the award is the result of a team effort.

“The reason I’m getting this is because I’m leading an organization that is full of powerful, smart and skilled individuals and I think it does shine a light and supports all the great work that we’ve been doing in recent years.”

Gaffney has been Executive Director of the Stratford Festival since 2013 and first joined the Festival in 1991 as a publicity assistant.
