Major drug bust made in Perth County

Police say they have made a major drug bust in Perth County.

The OPP Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, along with Perth County OPP, say they seized a quantity of meth from a vehicle in Perth East Wednesday and they say they also seized drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Police say that because of the seizure they arrested and charged 30-year-old Kody Johnson from West Perth, 36-year-old Thomas Barry from South Huron and 33-year-old Shannon Montgomery from West Perth with possession for the purpose of trafficking meth.

Then on Thursday, police say they used a warrant to enter a home on Ontario Road in West Perth where they seized more meth and drug trafficking paraphernalia in connection to the investigation.

They say the combined, estimated value of the seized controlled substances is over $28-thousand.

The three people arrested were held for bail hearings in Stratford.
