Pellet stove fire at Sebringville home causes an estimated $500 in damage

An early morning fire at a home in Sebringville has left an estimated $500 in damage behind.

Firefighters from Sebringville and Milverton were called out to the blaze at a home on Line 44 around 6:30 Friday morning.

Perth East and West Perth Fire Chief Bill Hunter says the blaze started in a pellet stove and no one was injured in the fire.

He tells My Stratford Now.com that the home had working smoke alarms and the blaze serves as a reminder to make sure your stove is maintained properly during the cold weather.
