UPDATE: Police identify victim of fatal collision near Exeter

UPDATE: 8:36 p.m.

Police have identified the person killed in a two-vehicle collision near Exeter as a 75-year-old man from Middlesex Centre Township.
First responders were called out to Highway 4, just north of Mt.Carmel Line, around 6:30 Tuesday morning following the collision.
According to police, a tractor trailer was travelling northbound on the highway when it collided with a sedan that was travelling in the same direction.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene while the truck driver was brought to the hospital, treated, and later released.
The highway was closed in the area while investigators were on scene.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Huron County OPP.

One person is dead following a head-on collision near Exeter.

First responders were called out to Highway 4, between Whalen Line and Mt.Carmel Line, around 6:30 Tuesday morning following the collision.

The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene with the condition of others involved in the crash unknown.

The highway was closed in the area while investigators were on scene.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Huron County OPP.
