An investigation is underway after a fire at a Mitchell home.
Firefighters were called out around 1:30 Sunday afternoon to the single-family home on Clayton Street.
Fire Prevention Officer James Marshall tells MyStratfordNow.com the call came in about a garage fire and, when crews arrived, they found the garage was attached to the home and the fire was venting through the roof.
He says the residents of the home were able to get out safely.
Just what caused the blaze and how much damage was caused have yet to be determined.
The investigation into it will continue Monday.
