We’re learning more about a respiratory outbreak at the Seaforth Community Hospital.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance officials say laboratory testing has confirmed the outbreak is Influenza A/COVID-19.

With the number of respiratory illnesses that are circulating in Huron and Perth, HPHA officials say it’s important to layer up your protection to help prevent the spread by wearing a mask when needed.

You should also keep up to date with your flu and COVID-19 vaccines, wash your hands often, and stay home if you are feeling sick.

The hospital’s Inpatient Unit is closed after the outbreak was declared on Monday.
