St. Marys looking for input on its website

The town has launched an online survey to find out how residents feel about www.townofstmarsy.com.

It’s part of a continuing improvement project to modernize, improve accessibility, and make it easier to find information on a site being launched later this year. The survey, which takes just minutes to complete, is looking for opinions on navigation, the kind of information people want, and how the search function is working.

“We want this new site to reflect the needs and preferences of our residents,” said Brett O’Reilly, corporate communications manager. “The survey will ensure that the user experience remains top of mind as we work through this exciting project.”

The survey is the first step in the public engagement process which will eventually involve hands-on testing by residents. “There will be, down the road, an opportunity for people to help us test out the navigation of the site. They will be able to go through and do a test. We’ll ask them to find this particular piece of information and they’ll be able to walk through a mock-up of the new site and tell us how easily they found that information, added O’Reilly.

Anyone taking part in the survey will be entered into a draw where the winner will have the choice of taking home $50 in St. Marys Money or a limited edition “Stoney” hat.
