The CJCS/Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund is back to support the community.
The popular fundraiser helps put food on the table for struggling families.
$60,000 was raised last year and that is the goal this time around.
Kiwanis Club of Stratford member Dave Evans told MyStratfordNow they were able to feed more than 1,000 families.
“That’s well over 2,000 people.”
He said it is tougher for people to feed their families with the cost of food rising.
The funds help purchase grocery gift cards through Stratford House of Blessing and the local Salvation Army.
Donations can be made to the fund page on Canadahelps.org.
The annual Christmas Basket Fund Radiothon is scheduled for Dec. 11 at the Romeo Street studios. Donations can be made by phone during the day or you can bring cash or a cheque to the radio station.
