Lawyers for Lawrence Ryan, the former owner of the Cooper Site, and lawyers for the city have agreed to dates put forward by the Ontario Municipal Board. The OMB will hold a five-day hearing to deal with an appeal launched by Ryan against the city. Other than those dates, there wasn’t much else the two parties agreed on during a pre-hearing held Friday at city hall. That hearing is scheduled for next January  and will deal with an appeal that Ryan filed, arguing the initial need for the expropriation of the lands he owned until 2009, and was paid $4.5 million.  There’s no timeline as to when the OMB will release what issues will actually be discussed at the hearing.
