Consistent rainfall over the past week is being credited with helping lift the open-air burn ban in Perth County.
Officials say burn permits can now be issued with those getting them still required to follow their respective municipality’s open-air burn by-law.
With weather conditions changing frequently in the summer, they say the ban could be put back in place at any time.
Farmers are still being encouraged to be very careful when combining, as field fires can spread quickly.
