You can now get your COVID-19 booster shot through Huron Perth Public Health if you’re eligible.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore announced on Wednesday that the eligibility for a third vaccine dose is being expanded to include those over the age of 70, healthcare workers who received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months ago, adults in First Nations, Metis, and Inuit communities, and those who had two doses of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
The shots are available at clinics in Huron Perth and officials say either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna may be used, regardless of which vaccine was received for the first or second dose.
The shots can also be given out at the same time as the flu shot.
Provincial officials say they hope to make COVID-19 booster shots available to all Ontarians, beginning in January.
