Police say a 25-year-old North Perth man faces a sexual assault charge after an alleged incident in Listowel.
On September 8th, Perth County OPP say they received a report of a sexual assault at a home in the town.
Following what the Perth County OPP Major Crime Unit say was a “thorough” investigation, Brent Diehl was arrested and charged with Sexual assault with a weapon and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing in Stratford on Friday.
Police say their investigation continues and anyone with information on what happened is asked to call Perth County OPP Crime Unit or Crime Stoppers.
